From the Pro Sports organizations to Fortune 500 boardrooms, here's what high performers say about working with Optimal Performance.

“Julius not only engaged our team but unlocked a conversation that has continued even after he left. He has really changed the game in how we have approached things ever since.”

“Julius not only engaged our team but unlocked a conversation that has continued even after he left. He has really changed the game in how we have approached things ever since.”

Brian Chidester - Adobe, Head of Industry Strategy

“Julius helped me accomplish, in 90 minutes, what I was unable to achieve in 5 years. This was by far the best coaching session I’ve ever had!”

JR Tolver - Athlete Mogul, Founder

“JAs a surgeon and dean of a medical school, I operate in environments where
performance is measured in outcomes. The Performance Code course provided a
clear, actionable, evidence-based framework to elevate focus, reduce interference,
and achieve true performance readiness. What sets it apart is Julius Thomas
himself—an NSU alumnus and former NFL player—who has uniquely combined his
experience in professional athletics with his doctorate in psychology to create a
system grounded in data and real-world performance. His approach goes beyond
achievement to emphasize sustainable excellence through drive, wellness, and the
cultivation of a high-performance culture. This isn’t theory; it’s a system that
works”

Dr. Chad Perlyn, Executive Vice President & Chief Medical Officer/Dean - College of Allopathic Medicine/Exec Medical Director for NSU Health

“Science is advancing and now bringing together many disciplines, such as
neuroscience, psychology, medicine, and others, in order to improve performance
outcomes. Dr. Julius Thomas, a former high performing NFL athlete, and clinical
psychology alumnus of Nova Southeastern University developed a researched based
new perspective on how to achieve optimal performance. It does not focus on a
single-minded goal but rather builds the discipline and commitment to achieve the
kind of long-term performance that addresses both mental and physical well-being.
‘You must train the brain as you train the body with the help of quality support’. As
Dean of a College of Psychology, I am proud of the important evidenced based
contribution of Dr. Thomas.”

Dr. Karen Grosby, Dean of the College of Psychology Nova Southeastern Universit

the background

Dr. Thomas realized that his current operating system was good, but not great. So he searched for solutions to elevate his performance and health approach to life. After an unsuccessful search he decided to build a system that would help him be his best personally and professionally. He put this operating system up to the most extreme test he could think of. Completing his doctorate degree, launching a business, while being a present father, and without burning out. This was confirmation that the system would work under the most difficult circumstances, while also enabling elite performance. That is when he knew he needed to share this system with the world and inspired him to launch the Performance Code, so others can benefit and crush life with the system he has been using personally to achieve results that defy the odds.

The Performance Code

High performers are taught how to produce results, but rarely how to protect their wellbeing while doing it. As ambition rises, pressure rises, and standards rise, health habits rarely keep pace. Over time, even high achievers begin to experience emotional strain, decision fatigue, performance inconsistency, relational tension, and mental and physical health challenges—despite outward success. This isn’t a motivation problem. It’s a systems problem.

The Performance Code was built to solve it.

the framework inside

The Performance Code™ integrates proprietary Optimal Performance frameworks, including Striving for 100™, mental performance frameworks, and work-life integration systems. Each concept is rooted in psychology, behavioral health, neuroscience, and performance science—but taught in a practical, applicable way. No jargon. No theory without application.
